Old Holland Classic Oil Colours Old Holland Oil Works established in 1664 is the oldest paint factory in the world! Only the finest lightfast and intermixable pigments are used. These oils are manufactured according to the techniques of the Old Masters and under the supervision of artists. The rollers that grind the pigments are made of stone and turn slowly to avoid the burning and discoloration that can occur in modern manufacturing even with inter-cooled metal rollers. Only the purest virgin cold pressed linseed oil of the first pressing is used. Old Holland offers the highest possible concentration of pigment making their paint so thick that each tube must be filled by hand and each tube is labeled with a hand-painted sample of the actual paint.
